In honor of the glorious autumn weather that we are enjoying, our poem of the week pays homage to fall. Many of you may recognize this Robert Frost poem from a passage in S.E. Hinton’s classic YA novel, The Outsiders:
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
